Today we are taking a break from planets and studying stars, galaxies, and constellations. I found 3 videos for you to watch that are short but snappy. After you watch these, go to google classroom and do the assignment there under the Science topic. There are only 2 slides today. One is the information slide and the other slide has 3 questions to answer so it is short.
Something that would be FUN, would be to use that same app that you used to locate the international space station (ISS) a couple weeks ago, to go out and look at constellations. It would be a fun "family night" for you to plan for your family.

science:
I'm ridiculously excited about today's lesson. It is SOO interesting!!! Watch the video above to understand about the International Space Station (ISS for short). Then go to google classroom to complete the assignment there under the Science category.
At 2:00 this afternoon I will make available another awesome video for you to watch. I don't want you to be able to watch it till you have completed the other ISS assignments. But it's definitely worth the wait. It will be available at 2:00 on google classroom under the Science category.
Finally, TONITE and TOMORROW night you can go outside and see the international space station (ISS) in the sky from your yard. It is scheduled to fly over this area. I am including a link to the website where you can check out the times and locations of the ISS sightings. You will need to have your parents help you figure out which direction to look in the sky. Spend about 30 minutes on the website with your parents before going outside to familiarize yourself with the information and see some cool pictures. The best time to view it is going to be Friday at 8:55 P.M. but there are other times over the next few days. It will be visible for 6 minutes on Friday night so that gives you plenty of time to try and find it. Here's a hint: my husband says it looks like a yellowish orange star moving across the sky. It moves a little faster than an airplane would but with no blinking lights. Go outside several minutes early and try to figure out which direction you're supposed to look and get familiar with the sky.

Group 2 will meet online at 2:30 (Ella, Noe, Sophia, TImmy, and Trevor)
Group 3 will meet online at 3:00 (Dominic, Ellie, Hope, Jessica, Kaden, Leah, and Ryan)
You will need to go to: classroom.google.com and log in to Mrs. Gundersen's classroom. On that front page you will see a new assignment listed there. called small group meeting (or something close to that). Once you click on it, click on the blue link and it should take you to the google "Meet" screen. Please bring all the supplies you need. Also, log on 5 minutes early so if you have any trouble you have time to figure it out. I expect tomorrow we might have some glitches since it will be our first real time.
